A stylish affair....

I was really looking forward to this one as I love it when a couple don't want the "norm". Creative couple Alex and Mike, wanted a relaxed yet stylish look which we created with a little bit of help from the lovely vintage prop lady,
Kate from Vintage Style Hire. Jam jars and Grandma's bread bin gave things a very hone-spun feel. The guests had also been baking like mad to give Alex and Mike this truly amazing cake/sweet table using our cakestands to display them. More photos to follow- hopefully of some cakes too......

On a sunny April day

This wedding we did a couple of weeks ago was a really lovely one- SPRING FLOWERS. I adore them, the scent, the colours and I love the gorgeous whimsical feel you can create with the right combo. This boho bride had a glorious April day, perfect for her mid summer nights dream themed wedding at The Reid Rooms in Margaret Roding, Essex.

A very special wedding.

Here are some of the amazing photos from my lovely little brothers wedding

I'm probably totally biased, but my brother and sister-in-laws wedding last October was the best I've been to.
It happened on the sunniest of October days in the heart of the Cotswolds at Cripps barn, Bibury. http://www.crippsbarn.com The whole day was picture perfect and this stylish day was captured by the very talented Nick Tucker. http://www.nicktuckerphotography.com
I created the flowers for this special day, which was such a pleasure. To see the happiness on the brides face when you give them their bouquet is rewarding at the best of times, but when it's family it's truly wonderful.
The flowers used give the feeling of autumn without using the obvious. The contrast of these hues with the blue sky and autumn leaves looked fab in the flesh and in the photos. It also helps that the happy couple are quite easy on the eye!!
We ate smoked local trout, slow roast lamb and crumble washed down with (lots of) red wine!! It was the best of times and I'm happy to share these lovely images with you.

I need a diet that includes cake!!

I know I need to lose weight, but do you know what, I can't be bothered!! We've got a day at home today and everytime I go to the kitchen I keep looking at the oranges in the fruit bowl. Yes I know they're healthy but I'm seeing carrot and orange cake. I can't help myself I'm off to bake! Anyway, I need to test out our latest vintage china purchase and a big fat cake will do just the job!

One of the best roses ever!!

I adore Rose Sweet Avalanche. It's big and blousey in the softest of soft pinks. I've teamed it up with numerous other flowers but I particularly love this combo of sweet avalanche and cow parsley for a soft vintage look.

    Hurry up sunshine!!

After Christmas and new year, all I want to see is spring flowers in abundance. I love their fragrance, form and all the amazing colours. Here's a Violets and Velvet wedding from last March. Smell those hyacinths!!!
